In which way is that a photomanipulation? Looks gorgeous, but i think it's rather a painting/airbrushing, right?
OzSpiniello Featured By Owner Oct 6, 2005
I was originaly a photo of a model taken by yours truely thus photomanipulation but as i have just about gone over the entire image correcting colour etc you could consider it painting/airbrushing so I walk the fine line between both of them

Very cool layout for sure. Have to agree that the lighting/shadow does need a little work, though. If the sun flare behind her is the primary light source, those red sections on the underside of the temple roof would actually be in fairly heavy shadow, too. The head dress wouldn't be as bright, either, since the hair would be casting a shadow on it. The light on the front of the building makes it look like a spotlight is hitting it from the front, yet that isn't reflected in the shading on the figure. The shading on the body makes it look like there is another light source coming in from the right as well. Still a gorgeous piece, but when you cut together various elements from reference sources that weren't orginally congruous, you have to work extra hard to make sure the lighting works.

the entire series is working great although some pieces on this one are too obviously superimposed. possibly the light source is a little confused in this piece but it could made more effective if parts like the left side of the body and the headdress were not seemingly outlined. with an immediate light source backing the hair, it would be lighter on the outside not darker -unless this was intentional then you can pretty much ignore most of this. great work btw!
